Guess where I come from.
Hahahaha....
Michael Phelps did not win Individual Golds -- when the person/s writing these questions understands that Swimming is a "Team Sport" then some of the hype of Phelps and his 22 medals will have dissipated
I will remember having the Olympics right outside me (I live in Stratford, 5mins from the Olympic Park) and seeing the fireworks and the Olympics torch- and watching everything on the big screen in Hyde Park. It was a great atmosphere in London, festive and happy and very patriotic, and it was great being involved in everything. For the sports, I think I will remember Michael Phelps because he's really amazing (even if he isn't from the same country as me) and is a real Olympic legend.
I'll remember Mr. Bean at the opening ceremony. Really lightened things up hah.
Oh yeah, and Michael Phelps winning that 22nd medal.
I was there last friday, and yesterday and will be there on sunday too. What I will remember most is Jessica Ennis and the hours of driving up and down the M1 M6 with idiots cutting me up or racing past. The Olympic park was also FANTASTIC, they even thought about what gravel to use for the paths.
Closing Ceremony
Sadly, the lousy TV coverage.
I'll also always remember the former owner of my husband's company (Carl Bouckaert of Belgium) crashing to the ground and being trampled on live television during the Cross Country part of the equestrian eventing. Poor guy. There's no sound, but check out the video. The horse keeps running around, like, "Screw it--I don't need you. I can do it by myself." ~LOL~

Michael Phelps, also. I actually cried after his last race.
The Dutch gymnast who won gold for high bar. Gabby Douglas. Clarrissa Sheild, American boxer who won gold for women middle-weight. Yes, and Misty and Kerry.
For 16 days it made London the centre of the world
:)
I will remember Aliya mustafina! She got. 4 medals !
As the 2012 Summer Olympics are winding down this Sunday, we wanted to ask our community what will you remember most about these games? Perhaps the third gold medal by Kerri and Misty or Michael Phelps winning an impressive 22 medals and becoming the most decorated Olympian? Tell us!
Wait.. There was summer Olympic?
Watching Telemundo's coverage of men's basketball and boxing because NBC was showing water polo and girls swirling long ribbons.
how NBC didn't permit viewing of either the Opening or Closing Ceremonies to any extent
The $hitty NBC coverage!
That a black girl won.Gabby Douglas. But not only that but she was 16.
The opening ceremony and the fact that my judo coach's son was in the judo. :-)
I'll remember what a bunch of a**clowns the British and IOC acted like.
