No offense or anything. But if you're just starting cheer at age 13/14. You aren't going to be doing it in college. Most D1 and D2 schools require that their cheerleaders have a skillset that's comparable to a level 6 gymnast at the minimum. To put that into perspective, it takes a gymnast of above average ability a good 4 or 5 years to get to that level. So if you're not even that flexible and don't have the ability to do a cartwheel at you're current age. There's really no realistic way you're going to be cheering in college.
So if that's the only reason you're doing it, you're just going to end up disappointed. Again, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but you need to have realistic expectations about this.
Continue to stretch! It's good for your body and will help you in any sport you do. It will get easier the more you stretch, so just keep working on it! Push yourself, but stay safe.
