The Ancient greek olympic champions or the current day olympic champions in the sports that have existed since the ancient greeks?
Are you kidding. There is no chance that ancient athletes would come close to those who compete now. With the newer technology, techniques, and training, they would not stand much of a chance. Look how far the games have come since the modern ones started up again. Look how much the records in each event have improved. Sure, the athletes back then were talented. But even if they were more athletic or talented, they would not stand a chance with the best the world has to offer now.
The ancients don't stand a chance. over the last few thousand years progress has happened. the human frame has changed adventitiously to the point where modern humans can preform fetes the like of which the ancients could only dream of. We are taller, better trained, and have more leisure time to perfect our athletic endevours. People back then dreamed of running 4:30 miles, today is sub 3:40!
Hmm, I'd said modern day athletes.
Though so many rules, regulations & traditions have stayed the same, so many things have changed as well. Technology & sports revolution has increased dramatically in the past 10 years alone. We now know how and when to train to win. We've learned from past mistakes etc.
So I'd put my money on current champions.

the modern day athletes. Athletics have improved tremendously since then. With modern day technology our athletes are bigger and better than ever before. We now know what workouts and diets to give athletes based on their sport size and weight to get them at the top of their game. There would be no competition.
the current Olympians.. just look at michael phelps all the training everyday... we'd run circles around the old ones. same with pro sports todays linebackers would kick *** over the old ones the old one were rough but the new ones are faster and stronger
