Why is there only one Korea in the Olympics?

and which one is it? north or south Korea?

Actually both North and South Korea are participating.

The nation officially referred to as the "People's Republic of Korea" (abbreviation KOR) is South Korea. They are the ones usually referred to as Korea in medal count tables, etc. and at the closing and opening ceremonies.

North Korea is, for Olympic purposes, abbreviated as PRK and is known as the "Democratic People's Republic of Korea".

Both Koreas are in the Olympics, but the Republic of Korea competed in more sports than the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. If you look for them in the alphabetical list on the Olympic web site, North Korea is listed among the C's so they aren't placed next to each other.

There were two.

Both North and South Korea had teams of athletes entered into the Olympics.

Are you blind? They were both there, and they were both in the football competition. South Korea is officially the "Republic of Korea", abbreviation KOR. North Korea is the "Peoples' Democratic Republic of Korea", abbreviation PRK.

Both are in but north doesn't do well.

It is south because they are racist to north I'm guessing

Did you even watch? How old are you? Stop being an imbecile!

who cares? its the same thing
