What sport should I do in high school?

I have always wanted to go to a really good college, and I'm starting high school in a couple weeks and I want to be well rounded. That includes a sport. Unfortunately, I suck at most sports. I am competitive though so there's something maybe. Anyways, I just need a sport that I can learn and join fairly easily and that looks good on college applications and is fun! Also my school has a lot of variety on teams and so they have most sports available. Any ideas on what I could do?

Crew could be a great sport for you because many people start late, so you wouldn't have a disadvantage starting in highschool. Crew is a great sport because it helps SO MUCH with college acceptance. I know many people who got into Ivy League colleges because of their crew. Swimming could also be a great sport. Starting late, you probably wouldn't be looking at an athletic scholarship, but it could definitely help with acceptance to a good school with a not so great swim team! I wouldn't recommend sports like football, soccer, or gymnastics where starting early is absolutely required, and many people train seriously starting at very young ages. Whatever sport you choose, it will be difficult for you since you are starting late. But if you work hard it will also be immensely rewarding! And you never know what could happen! Good luck! :)

Ive grown up my whole life playing sports mainly football and baseball if your trying to make it to the next level of sports don't expect to wake up one morning with just great talents if your serious enough about making it to the next level as an athlete it takes HARD work nothing is given to you everything has to be earned and never be scared of competition. Treating your body right is probably the biggest advantage in highschool sports if you can eat healthy get more exercise than most and LIFT WEIGHTS then you have already taken the step in the right path but its Also the hardest to stick with. When it comes to sports its really more of a hit or miss if your looking for more of a team sport football basketball baseball or even soccer and water polo if your looking for more of an individual sport i would do wreastling or tennis but try anything your school has and strikes interest in you and strive to be the best and never quit on yourself

Try different things! Some you will love and some you will hate! You may not even decide sports you may be interested in forensics or something different like that don't do something because of popularity reasons do something because you love it

Dude, just do whatever you want. If you don't like the sport, then don't play it. If you do like the sport, then continue with it.

Football is best
