It is Possible you could grow 6-8 inches by the time you are 18. Now don't go haywire if you Only grow 4 inches and gain a modest amount of weight. Example I was 5'6" 168 as a freshmen and I went to 180-5 5'10". OK? That was It! In College what position do you think I Played? Defensive Line! I got CREAMED! I broke two helmets, No Injuries, I was trying to stop guys just as fast as I was, But they outweighed me by 80 lbs! BUT, I didn't give up! I got drafted (thats when you get this card that says Greetings your are in the Army!) When I got out I weighed about 185-90 same height OK? I went out for Weak side LB at a Community College. I did OK. I was second string defensive end, but I had to quit to get serious about school. One week later, All the 1st string Defensive LB's were injured and out for the season! The coach came looking for me and begged me to come back. But I made a commitment to my academics and could not! Am I bummed. Kinda. But I made the right choice and I didn't get hurt! Sports is a great opportunity to get a scholarship. But Always have a Plan B. All it takes is one Play of inattention or you looking the other way and BAM! Your Done!
Given your parent's height. The chances you getting up 6'2" or 6'3" are pretty remote.
You could, but based on your parents' genetics I'd say you're about your max height.
Don't count on it.
