What level would I be in gymnastics?

Posted at: 2015-05-07
I am a 14 year old girl and I have been doing gymnastics for quite a few years now, however not very competitively.

I was wondering what level I would be and what moves I need to do in order to move up.

Here are the moves I can do;

FLOOR:

-round off back handspring

-round off multiple back hansprings (up to 5)

-multiple standing back hansprings

-round off tuck back

-aerial

-handstand

-cartwheel

-front walkover

-back walkover

-handstand pirouette

-backwards roll to hanstand (bent arms)

VAULT:

-all basic moves on, off etc.

-handspring

-half on (working on the half off bit)

-dive roll over

BARS:

-back circle up

-back hip circle

-squat on

-baby giant

-straddle undershoot

-have done giant with support on strap bar

BEAM:

-squat on (and without hands)

-forward roll on

-cartwheel

-cartwheel to handstand

-simple leaps/jumps

-full spin

-front walkover on floor beam

-round off/ handspring dismount

-tuck back and pike back somersault dismount

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can't really tell you what skills you need to move up, since I have no idea where you're from and what type of program you are in.

You're doing pretty well! If you were in the US (JO Program), probably about level 6, with some level 7 skills. About a silver/gold in Xcel.

In Canada, you would be a solid Provincial 2, nearly Provincial 3!

There's also this online forum called Chalkbucket that's for gymnasts and is pretty useful. :) Good luck in the future!

I don't know the UK system, but here in the USA you'd be XCEL Gold/Platinum and on the JO program you'd be probably a 6/7.

That's only though if the skills are done with good form, if they're not done with good form, then the skills you can do don't matter.

USAG- probably level 6

UK- I dont know if you know how the systems work but I would say probably level 5 out of age

You sound good lol im pretty sure ra oundoff backtuck is NOT a gymnastics thing.

silver at least!!! You sound really good, but all of these are useless if you cant execute them neatly in competition (ik, it sucks :( )
