im a girl & skateboarding is my new love but have never tried it , im currently 16 and plan to begin skating starting february 2014 , im in love with rob dyrdek and the birdhouse team , its like my dream to be apart of their skate teams . do u think if i really become dedicated to the sport meaning skating 365 days a year for a couple of years i'll be good enough to go pro and join a mens skate team if im really good ? most pros started very young but i didnt so idk if the skate industry will let me in , i wish i was introduced to skateboarding when i was younger but i introduced myself to it but idk if 17 is too late to begin to go pro a couple years later.
Hey! I'm just here to tell you, that most skaters actually start at around out age and get sponsored around 2-4 years later if you're truely derermined! i love skating, i do it everyday even though i'm not that good i'm always learning, it's a great feeling to finally land a complex trick also.. like a Fs flip but anyway there are a few girl pro skaters about! just keep determined! and why febuary 2014? why not start as soon as you can!
