I want to become a strong fighter?

Posted at: 2015-05-07
I am 13 years old and I am growing up in a "troubled" kind of neighborhood where people try and fight for the hell of it. I want to become stronger. People usually confuse my age because I look around 16 but body size doesn't mean anything nowadays.. I'm not exactly wealthy.. So home workouts/drills would be better. I don't intend to start a fight. I just want to know how I can gain strength to defend myself. If you guys have tips on throwing punches/blocking etc let me know please.

The fact that you don't intend to start a fight lets me know that you're well on your way to being a good man. So that's great! Surprisingly - fighting is more mental than physical. How confident you are can make all the difference. A man who isn't sure of his capabilities will often hold back. He must believe in himself. He must also try his best not to allow any fight to become 'personal' because if he does - his emotions might cloud his thinking. So I say... work on knowing in your heart what you have a right to do. And the first thing you have a right to do is to defend yourself and/or someone you care about. [Or someone who is being unfairly attacked] Someone else can help you in other ways - but that's my answer.

fighting is more mental then physical. There is technique to fighting which can only be practiced to learn. Get technique down then confidence begins to build. Then you must i mean you must at least spar. To get a feel of punches to the face/body and reacting to them. Thats all mental. Everytime you spar you will get better. Practice practice practice. With that practice you will get stronger. Now you can work on power and muscle strength. Pull ups. Many like 200. Heavy bag work. Legs are most important (all muscles need to be worked out) front squats with big rocks. Find a big tire and drag it, flip it, lift it. Dips. Handstand pushups.

push ups, situps pull ups, curl a heavy weight, and slowly focus on getting heavier to high reps and heavy weights, and do lots of running u want to be able to do about 5-7 miles a day, this will give u strenth and endurance, if u get in a fight quick hits dont over put yourself in, so dont punch so far u are out of balance if u miss, and go f-ing crazy so they cannot get a chance to swing at u, just keep hitting towrds their face or any exposed area that will cause pain, when u got to block dont stop their hit deflect it, u can get punched at by some 300 pound guy there is no way u will be able to stop the punch but if u simply deflect it with your arm it will require no effort and then throw them off balance

You start with dance. It teaches you how to pace moves

with classic styles. Watch adult women doing a knee lift

while erect on one foot atop up-thrust palms of her male

dance partner. Then you learn fencing for hand-eye

coordination. After you qualify as a master of sabre go

enroll in a school of martial arts. Writer began with the

Japanese.

This sounds like it would make a great anime XD
