What are some other sports like gymnastics? (repost)?

This is a repost because I only got one answer last time and I'm not quite satisfied. Please please please respond!

I have been thinking about quitting gymnastics for a while now, and I have decided to quit. Problem is, my parents say I need to find a good sport that I can spend at least 6 hours a week on. If I don't find a sport, I'll have to do taekwondo (which I quit a while ago and was a black belt) but I really REALLY don't want to do it again. I asked my parents and they said I could do golfing but I have to do something else cause it isn't enough. So what are some sports like gymnastics? I was thinking about trying hip hop dance classes like my cousin, but I'm not sure if one, it's enough for 6 hours a week, and two, if it's a good sport. Please help! And don't say stuff like cheerleading and diving because I know those are similar but I don't want to do it! If it is possible, I'd love a sport you don't necessarily have to compete in! Performing is different, so that's okay! Basically the question is, what are some sports like gymnastics or what are some places I can take hip hop classes? Thanks in advance everyone!

Please don't say sports like badminton or cheerleading because I don't really think those are sports meant for me... :/

You could go into a different gymnastics discipline like trampolining, tumbling, acro, aerobic or rhythmic. You don't have to compete, just do it at a rec level. You could do any sort of dance. There is a similarity between gymnastics and martial arts in that they are both focused on controlled movement. I don't know much about martial arts but I know there are lots of different types so maybe you could do some research about that and find something you would enjoy more than taekwondo. Weight lifting has some commonality with gymnastics (British Olympic powerlifter Zoe Smith is a former gymnast.) Circus skills is another possibility.Yoga. A lot of sports clubs and classes let you do the first session free, or at least without commitment, as a taster to see if you enjoy it so I'd suggest taking advantage of that.

Also if you don't want to be doing serious competition and high-level stuff then maybe you could do several different sports for a few hours a week each. Does it have to be an organised group thing or maybe you can go to the gym or swimming sometimes or do some conditioning at home? Also is it that you need to spend 6 hours on sports and exercise or just on extra curricular activities? Maybe you could join a drama group, band or choir, or learn an instrument or to sing if you enjoy performing.

Trampoline and tumbling. other dance like ballet, acro, lyrical, tap. Sports acro. Trapeze, fencing, rhythmic gymnastics, figure skating, sincronozed swimming, weight lifting, rock climbing, parkour, Zumba, yoga, boxing, wrestling, pole vault.

Contortion, dance, tumbling, ballet, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatics

There's plenty more you should look around more on the internet

Honestly hope this helps

Dance, diving, trampolining, ice skating, weight lifting, and parkour are pretty good. Cheer is also pretty good if you change your mind.

Why don't you just go to ask.com or google.com and post your question. That's what we would have to do for you.

see above, add ice skating, trampoline :)
