Good beginner sports for a teenage girl?

Hi I'm 16 years old looking for another sport to do. I already do martial arts but only three times a week so on the other days I'm surrounded by boredom. I can't stand my school so Im not doing school sports. I'm thinking about dance, ice skating, volleyball or tennis but I'm not sure if I will be good at them or if they are good for beginners my age. Other suggestions would be nice! Thanks!

I think it is much more important you enjoy it than that you are good at it. It's probably not going to be a career anyway so provided you have fun it is all good.

You could think about trampolining or other branches of gymnastics. I have noticed as a trampoline coach that people who do martial arts usually progress faster than most because they have good control. The emphasis on controlled movement might transfer to dance as well but I'm not sure because I don't do that.

At 16, a good sport is track and field, or cross country. It's the easiest sport to start. Just run. Eat. Train. Sleep. Run. (Go to the bathroom and stuff too..) Try it! You should already be in shape from martial arts, but if not, start training. Run a mile or two a day, slow pace. Maybe 8 or 9 minutes a mile. Do push ups and sit ups, maybe even get a gym membership. If not running, then try volleyball, it's hella fun!!!

i think that tennis or volleyball would be great for you as a beginner two sports that are fun and im in highschool and those seem easy for beginners ice skating ... youll have to learn how to skate which will be really hard and take along time and the same goes for dance hope that helped !

Try baseball... It's so bad even my grandma can play it....
