I prefer gymnastics because I've been obsessed with it for 10+ years. Gymnastics a is harder, in gymnastics you'll have to do rings, floor, pommel horse, high bar, and vault since you're a male. However if you're not interested in doing all of that, you can just choose tumbling instead.
Tumbling is a branch of gymnastics, grouped with trampolining in the USA. It is different than men's artistic gymnastics in which gymnasts do floor, rings, parallel bars, high bar, vault, and pommel horse. In tumbling gymnasts learn to perform tumbling passes of linked skills down a sprung tumble track in which they accelerate to a big "dismount" skill to finish. You may wish to consider trampoline and double mini tramp as well as tumbling.
Tumbling is more "parkour style", while Gymnastics is more strength.
Gymnastics has:
-Floor (tumbling)
-Rings
-Pommel Horse
-Bars (Parallel and quad)
-Trampoline
-Beam (Pretty sure only for females)
-Conditioning (Sit-ups, push-ups, etc.)
Tumbling has:
-Hand springs
-Flips
-Other aerial tricks
