You can do better! Don't walk, at least do a very slow jog instead of walking. Train hard every day. You have to put in the work to achieve whatever you are trying to achieve. Push yourself! When you feel like walking, don't do it. You have to be mentally strong and you have to push through that mental wall in your head. When it's hard to run, run harder. It is hard at first, but you will love yourself in the future if you train as hard as you can right now, especially at a young age. It is definitely worth it. When I was your age I slacked off and made excuses. I am a really good runner right now, but I could be 10x better if I would've pushed myself at that age.
It really depends. For me, I am in 7th grade and I can do a mile in 6 minutes 55 seconds, which I think is respectable. Perserverance and practice are a few essentials. If you have not already, I highly suggest that you join a track team. That should help you push yourself harder to reach your goals :D! I think half of the battle is in your mind. When you feel like your falling apart and each step is another pain, you can either stop/walk or keep on. I know this may seem hard at first but as you get used to that type of angle on it it will become easy.
Having a good hearty diet and doing other workouts besides running may help too, and as well as keep on practicing! Not eating too much before practice or a track meet can help, but as I said earlier half the battle is in your mind. Pacing yourself is key, and try to cut down 5 seconds or less every time you run the mile. Good luck, hope I helped!
Well you can't walk during the mile, you might want to switch to the 3mile walk. you can train that's about it. Avoid doing heavy excersize like leg press at all. Add on training for speed and agility but once again don't break yourself with other activites like hurdles or long jump/high jump. just eat healthy and run everyday and then focus on your day of events and you'll beat it easy.
For starters, don't walk when you are running that mile, just keep jogging no matter what. You want to start out fast but not to fast, try to set a steady pace that you can manage. When you get near to the finish line, I want you to pump your arms really faster which you legs would follow. Basically, no matter if you are tired try sprinting towards the finish line no matter how tired you are!! Hope this helps...
