You are 31? You have trained for 6 years? In those 6 years you have trained in 20 different schools?
No offense but you are either making this up or you are the problem.
What 31 year old is still go around getting jumped? Why would someone change tottha many schools? You haven't in any place to effectively learn much of anything. Maybe you should learn to run or maybe stop getting into with people. Most adults don't plan to fight a person unless they are in a sport. Then they don't later get jumped by a person they were planning to fight.
I'm just saying.
Edit:
I don't know you. BUt you should be able to admit that you story sounds off. Everything you said in your email you could have said here. I won't address it all. 1st you haven't committed to anything if you have been in 20 schools in 6 years. it is more unbelievable that every time you join a school someone attacks you. If that is happening you need to look in the mirror.
example: I worked in a school. This one kid always complain about being picked on. He even asked me to teach him karate. I refused. He did get beat up alot by guys and girls. But I observed him because I felt sorry for him. But what I saw was that he instigated much of the abuse that he got. I believed that if I even showed him one technique the next day he would have gotten into a fight saying that he was ready now because I had taught him karate. He would not have been good at using the technique, but he was good at running his mouth and starting things that he wasn't capable of finishing.
If somebody is being a jerk or threatening you and you don't know how to defend yourself. Call the police. If you do know how to defend yourself, call the police. That is what a mature 31 year old person does.
If you really want to learn martial arts effective, you need to learn the weak spots of the human body and lets face it, few instructors know them. I am not talking about pressure points but rather how the body breaks using clinical data. Most schools are about money and so the longer they can keep you the better it is for them. want to learn something affective check out the article below.
Here is one of your problems. You been to how many schools? You never stick it out. No instructor in their right mind will teach anyone anything if the are not dedicated. If you bounce from school to school that is right your going to be stuck learning the basics and only that. MMA won't teach you. BJJ won't do it either. No one will with your attitude. Sounds like your a troll.
Okay just a little bit of history on this to aim the question.
I've taken a bunch of martial arts. And every school has a teacher who heard some story of some guy who taught a inexperienced student something violent....too violent to talk about (is the running theme but then they tell me some story). In the end of the story the sifu or sensi gets sued as well as the student turned assaulter. Both go to prison or jail never to be heard of again! (Cryptic right?)
Well so I get stuck practicing basic moves and out of the 20 schools I've been to ( im 31). Same story they refuse to teach me and eventually the person im preparing to defend against actually jumped me and it always turned into a super dramatic life event.
Yet police get trained in a weekend.
Where can I go to learn self defense or martial arts without someone making excuses up about not being the proper rank (because after 6 years of ranking up still was completely set up to get my **** handed to me). Or other excuses
