How can I get higher, better jumps before cheer season?

Make sure you have your knees turned up in a toe touch!!! My coach had us go onto a trampoline and practice our jumps on there, but instead of landing on our feet we would land in our straddle. But the only thing that can really help you a lot is STRETCHING!!! The more flexible you are the easier jumps, tumbling and almost everything in cheer is!!! Also try and build leg muscles!!!! Try doing T-kicks, put your arms In 'T' and kick behind your arms, once you get good try jumping while kicking!!! Good luck :)

Practice them over and over and over. Also stretch. Being more flexible allows you to have much higher and prettier jumps. Sit in a straddle and reach to one foot, then the other, then the middle. Sit in a pike and reach for your toes and hold it. With stretching and practicing, they will get better!!!
