Because they have like 4 names e.g. Ronaldinho = ronaldo de assis moreira, how ugly would it be on a shirt? so he picked Ronaldinho, Kaka his real name is Ricardo something his brother couldnt pronounce his name when he was younger and was calling him Kaka. Robinho has x names (Robson ...) he picked Robinho. Just to let you know they don’t pick these for fun. Probably some does but mostly do not. And its better more unique :)
Magnanimous intelligence, the Brazilians real names are very long. For example, my full name is composed by six different names. The nicknames are used for these situations, and not only to offend other peoples.

There's this one bellend called Hulk and they had prats like Fred and Ronaldinho and other silly stuff. Why don't they use their real names. If Steve Gerrard went by Thor we'd all say he is an idiot so why do we accept it from Brazilians?
