Where are the pressure points for self defense?

You mean those buttons on your body that when you push them make your opponent land in a heap in front of you? ....and then there are those that if you push them your opponent will die,...... eventually. Those are all in the movies. I keep watching the movies but still can't get them to work quite the same. Goes to show you can't learn them from a video or over the internet for that matter.

There are pressure points which hurt when struck all over your body. Your funny bone is another one, there are some along the side of your body. Those are the ones close to the surface and you can find them yourself by poking yourself. People already have mentioned some good ones but there are many more.

Pressure points located deeper take quite a bit of finger strength to access especially with people who are more muscular. Therefore they are not really reliable targets also because people's sensitivity varies greatly too. What hurts one person will only cause mild discomfort in another person and will not be nearly enough to stop someone. In all reality pressure points work well to get a quick reaction to maybe comply a person into another technique like a joint lock or a take down. I would not think they are effective as an only means of self defense against an attacker who is set on hurting you.

The negative pressure points in self defense are the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, kidneys and conception vessels. The positive pressure points are the large and small intestines, gall bladder, stomach, triple warmer, bladder and governing vessel.
