Not sure what you mean by "most followed." American football games have a larger audience for any single game. A pro or even a college stadium can often have 100,000 seats. Television audiences likewise can be huge. Baseball has far fewer watching any single game, but baseball teams will play about ten times as many games per year as will football. Basketball is also popular, but less so. Hockey is gaining a national audience but it is still much smaller. Socker (football) is also gaining an audience.
