What kind of track event should I run?

So I'm 6 foot tall and about 156 pounds. I'm thinking of running track this year . I've got really long legs and a decently long back. I bench max 205 and my max squat is like 225. I've been wrestling varsity for two years so I'm into athletics. What kind of event would I best fit. I'd say I have a Decent amount of staminia. Nothing too major.

Since you have never run before try different events to find what you like and do best, your size is not a good indicator of your abilities, and you might be a good jumper not a runner.

You should run long distance! I have a friend that is 6'3 and he runs long distance. I also recommend you either doing hurdles, with the long legs, high jump, with the height, or long jump! I also did track. I'm 5'5 and I ran 800 relay and 200m dash. Good luck!!
