It's called Lactic Acid buildup, it is what happens when you use muscles that you haven't used before, or when you use your muscles more than you have nourished them (with electrolytes). It is normal when you are doing a physical activity. Many people like this "burn" as it makes them feel alive and active and that the muscles are working and building up. Yes, it is a good thing because it means that you are using your leg muscles. You can lessen the "pain" (I'm one of those who likes a good burn and don't see it as pain at all, sorry), by raising your electrolyte intake. Electrolytes are Potassium, Sodium, Magnesium, and Calcium. Usually, lack of Potassium is the main culprit. Orange juice and bananas are high in potassium and will help lessen lactic acid buildup.
When I first started skateboarding my legs would hurt too. You just keep practising and it should stop hurting. Also maybe try exercising before skateboarding or just stretching.
stretching helps but you just got fresh legs man, once you get use to skating everyday the pain will subside and be less severe , Some days are better than most
