The backward cartwheels girls are forced to do damage their spines. That's why gymnasts are all less than 5 feet tall. Most competitive gymnasts start at age 5.
There are various types of gymnastics available: rhythmic/artistic (these are olympic sports as well), novice, as well as the more physically demanding, competitive type seen most often on TV.
Given your age and experience, I would explore the different gymnastic programs in your area and pick the one you like best. Gymnastics really improves your body coordination, a skill that will improve your performance in all physical activities: modeling, dancing, sports, etc.
Have fun with it:)
It's good to be physically fit so I would advice you to start gymnastics. You could also try modeling, although training gymnastics will probably be easier since the model business is unpredictable. So if modeling won't work out the first time you go for it, you will still have gymnastics for a hobby. But follow your heart and do what you would rather want!
Become a gymnast! Modeling will come along with it somehow. Train for the Olympics! # DREAMBIG!
just follow your heart & decide which one you like or love the most . then , go from there
try both and see what you are best at, that is what i would do
I am 13 years old, my height is 5'6". & super skinny. Everyone tells me I should be a model because I have the perfect body for it. & I would LOVE to! but I also like gymnastics, I always had. but I've never done them. I just went to a few tumbling classes when I was in 5th grade. & now that I did some research I found out that all gymnasts are so short. Like 5'4" is tall for them. I don't know what I should focus on? HELP D:
