What different martial arts do militarized learn?

From any country, anywhere. What martial arts do they learn? This is including the police. And out of curiosity, what does the North Korean police and army learn?

I think Koreans use a form of Taekwondo. Russians use Systema or Sambo (don't quote me on this one). Chinese military and police are trained in Sanshou (Chinese boxing). The US uses their own specific style though I'm not sure what it's called.

Militarized? Maybe military.

Any really. The military would be smart enough to pick the best trainers, not the best style that could advertise themselves.

There are standard systems e.g. USA has MACMAP, Russia combat Sambo, Korea TKD, China combat Sanshou, Israel Kapap, Krav Maga etc... Yet in regional areas specific groups may train something else due to better availability of instructors.

North Korean police? No idea. Anything we get on that will probably be people who are trying to market their own system.

US Army has MACP which is modified BJJ

Isrealis Have Krav Maga

Both North and South Korea use a military Modified Taekwondo. North's style is more simular to Kempo Karate as to where South's style is what you would find in 99% of Taekwondo McDojos in USA

Those are the ones I know

The Philippenes teach their Marines Kali. US Armed forces has a new tactical combat system every year, if you listen to the guys selling the -Latest Military Method!-, but in reality they focus less on hand to hand and more on shooting the things real good like. US Navy is pretty famous for it's boxers, though.

I believe both Koreas teach their militaries Tae Kwon Do. Actually, I'm pretty sure that's what it started out as- A Korean military art. Makes the way it's turned into the sporty-sport mcdojang of traditional arts in America rather sad, honestly.

I know the Australian Military have their own modified system but they still train in BJJ and Muay Thai as well, Same with the AFP and state police. I have personally trained them myself in the past.

I know the korean military have a martial art they modified and use for thier military its called Shippalgi and they also study a form of TKD.

My in law is serving in the Danish Army Special Forces and they are taught Krav Maga.
