Does sparring full contact give u strength?

Does sparring full contact make your body available for taking hits I.e. used to getting hit/able to tolerate pain.

Sparring full contact will not make you stronger but it will make you tougher and make you more tolerent to getting hits on your body. In my experience, this has helped with my sparring overall and i would highly reccomend it.

Mental strength - yes, actual physical strength - no.

Except in a few cases of muscle growth for protection (Stomach, arms and shoulders) the body is still taking the same amount of damage from each blow it was when you first started training in full-contact. The difference is the way your mind processes that damage, things that just hurt will be ignored or only dimly considered and you will begin to understand what can stop you and what can't.

The biggest growth through full contact should be experience - your mind becomes better able to function under that intense kind of pressure.

Well yes and no. It's not like taking hits to your body will make it stronger. Except for some parts of your body like the shins. But what it gives you most of all is technique and it removes the fear of fighting and getting hit. At least with gloves. It takes a while though.

It will make you more used to being hit, but you probably won't actually be any stronger.

Shut up John, you dont know. Check out my link.
