I think the London Olympics was a success as it brought a massive fluctuation in the economy, we spent a lot of money on preparing it but it brought a lot of money and tourism it to the country. The Olympics also inspired a lot of you people to get involved with sports,l especially disabled people as the Paralympics was incredibly inspiring, overall I think it was a success.

The London 2012 Olympics united the country, all the venues met expectations, the money invested has brought dividends but the final figure will take several years to establish how much was generated.
At the initial planning stage it was decided Sydney 2000 was the one to beat. Not the Chinese, as most think.
There will always be those who say 'we couldn't afford them' - we could and we did.
The games were an example of what we could achieve with the right team, planning and enthusiasm. Yes I am biased, I worked
with LOCOG for 18 months.

@ L. - The IOC have made it quite clear that no city other than London would ever be considered as far as a British bid was concerned. London was host city. 12 other places were venues up and down the country. We could not offer venues to every town or city. If you give everybody equal shares it would not have been London's games.
Yes I anticipate it was a success but i acquainted that London has benefited from it more, which sucks. the Olympics would of brought in an access of accumulation to the country something we lacked back a lot of humans would rather go to added places such as Spain for holidays. as able-bodied as appearance Brittan in a acceptable ablaze.
Yes i think it was a succes but i felt that london has benfitied from it more, which sucks. the olympics would of brought in an increse of profit to the coutnry something we lacked sicne most people would rather go to other places such as spain for holidays. as well as show britian in a good light
so over all it was good its just a shame london hogged most of it when it should of been spread around e.g. bring some of it to brum. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Well, go anywhere in Europe and see the Union Jack bags and tee shirts everywhere, looks like our Cool Britannia image did OK out of it.
Plus we finished 3rd in the medals table.
Yeah it cost 12 billion but a lot of that money was globally sourced from multi nationals like Coca Cola and private business.
Most organised Olympics in modern times,no traffic problems, fantastic Games Makers (the whole world were talking about them, everyone wants them to live next-door ! ).The Opening ceremony/Closing ceremony were brilliant ! No security issues too !
Was the London 2012 Olympics a success? And why
