Should nbc have a dedicated channel for the olympics?

That's a waste of time money and effort for an event that only occurs for 2 weeks, once every 2 years. The NFL and NBA have games for months at a time every year. Not to mention, one of the ideas of the Olympics is for the whole world to come together and root for their country. Isolating the Olympics from regular broadcasting defeats the purpose.

I'd be happy if they had a channel just to show the actual Olympics in the two weeks they are happening.

80% of what they show now is either commercials, studio host blather, lame 'human interest' stories, or 4 nights of something called "ice dancing". (Newsflash: dancing isn't a sport).

I remember when marquee events like the downhill where highlighted events that you never missed. Now you barely see that because the marquee event is showing some snot whining about figure skating judges or another US women's hockey team choke job.

Watching the Olympics for hours gets tiring overtime. And have you forgotten we had the Internet at our finger tips where we can watch whatever events whenever we feel like (for now that is).

yeah that would be cool

Hell yeah!

i mean like the nfl or nba channel i think nbc or ioc should have a dedicated channel of all olympics coverage for people who never want it to end! including the opening & closing ceremonies of past olympics! whos with me?!
