Should i try out for cheerleading?

Posted at: 2015-05-07
At my school most girls do sports or something, like basketball or volleyball, but I'm really not that much of an athletic person unless it involves something girly, and then I realized cheerleading is perfect for me! At least, thats what I thought at first.

I now realize it requires a lot of strength and flexibility and im not sure i'm capable of that yet. Do any cheerleaders think it's possible for me to work up the strength in time before I try out for the school cheerleading squad? It's in a month. Help please! ?

To gain flexibility: do straddles and splits.

To gain strength, do push-ups and stuff.

I think you have a good chance of getting better in a month if you are dedicated.

Good luck!

Getting flexible and building up muscle takes more then a month, but of course you can try. Do you find cheer leading fun, is it something you want to do and if everyone else wasn't doing a sport would you choose it? Cheer leading requires alot of hard work and dedication and if your prepared for that, even if you are not fully 'capable' yet, whats the harm in trying out??

Easy peazy. Work on holding your arms high for long periods of time, and don't worry too much about legs if you're skinny. Always work a bit though. Work 5 days a week, and you'll be fine!

You should try out for the flag team, or join the glee club or the AV club.

No cheerleading is sIutty.
