My coach approached me and asked if I'd like to play varsity as a sophomore. If I declined, I would be playing on jv with all of my friends and I would get probably maximum playing time (it's also tons of fun). If I went with varsity, I would be available to play with both jv AND varsity, but I'd be practicing with only varsity (and without any of my friends). Varsity practices are much tougher (but girls love varsity players I guess ;)). I'm also afraid my grades will suffer. I'm a perfect 4.0 student but these games with vars will have me getting home at 10 or 10:30 3 nights a week. I'm just wondering if it's worth it if I'm not planning to play in college.

Dude go for varsity, I' played varsity as a freshman and I think honestly, although your friends aren't on varsity you'd be way ahead of everybody else and you'd look badass.

I would say play with jv. It's always better to have more playing time and be with your friends. Especially when you have 2 more years. Hope i helped
