There is no best style.
They will all work as long as you train right and have a good instructor.
Your size, body type and sex have nothing to do with the style you want to choose. People that think that your size and body type determine the style know little to nothing about martial arts
Most people will tell you there style is the best or they heard such and such is a great style,
The style is not important, what matters is how good your instructor is and how you train. The style is secondary, they all have there pro's and con's there are no superior styles.
If you have an instructor that can’t teach you how to fight, regardless of the style, what good would it do you?
Choose a school with a good instructor in the end that’s all that matters, that and how you train.
Its the person that has the ability to fight not the style
Look for a good dojo or gym to learn. Boxing is one of the simplest styles of fight but if you want use more than your hand maybe Muay Thai or maybe you want to learn to fight on the ground using bjj, judo or sambo.
high school wrestling
-it's free
-you make friends
-requires no equipment except ear cuffs if you don't want cauliflower ears ;)
-you can do solo drills at home
-you can do it all 4 years in high school and in college if you are good or club team
-lots of great videos on youtube, search Barry Davis
I recommend Boxing, Taekwondo, Karate, choose one of these
Any of them! As long as you have a good teacher.
I think your a bit to Young for MMA, but Im not really experienced so dont listen to me :)
I'm looking for a somewhat simple form of martial arts. Here is my list of requirements:
-Simple
-Requires so training equipment
-Something I can do in my room
-somewhere I can watch videos to learn how to do moves
-I do not mind how long it takes to learn for I'll be able to learn for the next six years
-One that is a workout and would teach me self-defense
sorry if this is impossible to solve but I need to get in shape but I would like to be able to defend myself all in one, But I wotn be able to get money for another year.
