Hi Rachael, I set up google alerts for anything regarding girls and skateboarding because both my daughters are passionate skater girls and we are doing what we can to help and encourage other girls to skate. May I suggest you google my daughter Poppy Starr Olsen. She is 13 too and has been skating now since she was 7. There are two types of skating; bowl/vert and street. Poppy is a bowl/vert skater. She has a website www.poppystarr.com, instagram is @poppystarr . Skating has led her on a fantastic journey and she now competes in the US every year and most recently has been invited to compete with 15 other girls at the US Surf Open at Hungtington Beach, in California where they are holding the Van Doren Invitational girl's skateboard competition. Today she is with Disney Australia filming a show at Monster Skate Park featuring her skating and representing girls who want to skate. And check this out http://actionsportsalliance.com/pros/ - the alliance is set up to support girls who want to skate and lists a number of girls around the world they support.
So, yes, get out there and skate and enjoy ! (wear protective gear)
Girls can skateboard. She probably is uneasy because you could smash your face in the ground or somethin.
Of course its ok for a girl to skateboard. Just because your a girl doesn't mean you cant do certain things. So of course,Go For It!!!!
I'm a girl and I skateboard. It's fun and it doesn't matter if your a boy or a girl, if you enjoy it, go for it
You can do whatever you want. Dont worry about what others think, its your choice what you wanna do.
Do what makes you happy.
