Iron Mike Zambidis vs Floyd Mayweather in an MMA fight?

The 16 times kickboxing world champ and one of the greatest welterweights in history vs Floyd Mayweather who claims to be the greatest boxer ever. Who wins in an MMA fight?

They are close enough in weight to make this a realistic question for debate so here we go:

From what we know about both guys for sure (mayweather being the elite of the elite in boxing and zambidis being an elite kickboxer but not on the p4p great list like Flloyd is) we can probably make some safe assumptions. Although Floyd is in higher standing in his specific craft of boxing he is a little bit more limited from what we know for sure.

Mixed martial arts obviously encompasses a huge array of arts and styles that fit into 3 broad categories (striking, submission grappling, and wrestling). Each of those categories have tons of approaches that can contribute to them (striking=muay thai, boxing, karate etc. submission grappling=bjj, sambo, judo, catch etc. wrestling=folk, freestyle, Greco, etc.) Since we only know about both guys having striking backgrounds that is what we have to draw conclusions from. In the rule set of mma I believe Zambidis would have the advantage because he has kicks, knees, and more experience with a clinch that is better suited to mma, to go along with his punching. Flloyd has amazing boxing but it is only boxing alone. So while Flloyd would be only throwing punches (as good as they are) Zambidis just has more weapons at his disposal.

There are also more problems with a pure boxer going into mma that a kickboxer does not have as severely. For instance bobbing and weaving is a good way to get kicked or kneed into oblivion! They can get away with it in boxing because they know their opponent can only punch! Also Flloyd's famous shoulder roll probably wouldn't fly to well in mma for the very same reasons. A boxer also stands more sideways as opposed to a kickboxer who stands with his hips a little more open. A pure boxing stance would make it very easy to get taken down by a single leg.

So while we could never say for sure on the surface it sure seems Zambidis would have a little bit of an advantage going in just based on the limitations of pure boxing as opposed to a k-1 style kickboxer. Other variables though such as if Flloyd was the better natural wrestler and eager to use it in an mma fight, could and probably would change things completely though.

Hypothetically, if it were to go down i would put my money on Iron Mike. Mayweather is slick and great at "ducking" but i think Zambidis has more tools and would adapt better to an MMA setting.

They aren't even in the same weight category. Even if they were, Floyd's style of boxing is only good against other boxers.

Neither does MMA, so this fight would never happen.
