So my advice to you is to watch and listen from more senior students. It's okay if you get distracted by harder hits, you should tell your sparring partner to go easy on you so that you can understand better. As you are a junior level student, that places the responsibility upon the senior students to help you. In time, you will be able to handle the harder hits with more confidence. But it has to start with you: your sparring partners need to recognize you as a beginner, and if they don't, you need to slow them down. Don't worry about affecting their training: there's a lot for them to learn by taking it slowly and teaching you, that is why your instructor pairs the seniors with the juniors. If that hasn't been made clear, then work with the instructor. If that doesn't work, then the school may not be right for you (or for anyone...)
You simply just have to keep practicing and stick with it. Ay, it sounds like they are hard on you and they hit you with force. Good. Now you know what it's like to get hit hard. Many so called martial artists go years without ever being struck forcefully. Then they wind up in a situation where they have to defend themselves from a real enemy, get hit one good time, and they crumple and go down, bc their body wasn't conditioned.
Martial Arts are tough. You have to be tough. You've only sparred twice, so you are fairly new to it. That's understandable. I was there at one point. My instructor hit hard, threw me, etc. I often went home bruised and a bit confused. I didn't see the point of it at first and I hated it. But I came back for more. My body got conditioned and I began to see the point of such rigorous training.
Don't give up on yourself. Don't be a quitter. Practice, stick with it, ask your instructor for further help. If the instructor is not willing to help you in these regards, you might need to leave.
You know that a black belt is only a white belt who never gave up so stick with it and learn and you will get the hang of it.
lol, sparring every two weeks. what a joke
kick their balls if your losing.....LMAO
I have taekwondo sparring every two weeks and I absolutely HATE it, i've only sparred twice before and the instructors put me with black belts and of course they hit me REALLY hard to the point where I almost cried. Im so horrible what do I do?
