How to get big not strong?

Posted at: 2015-05-07
I have been doing fitness for a while now. But i only seem to get stronger. I'd rather get bigger muscles.

Have any tips on what to do?

What the other guys are talking about is getting fat. That's it, pure and simple. If you are getting "bigger" and you are not gaining muscular size.... You're getting fat.

Consider this. It's entirely possible that your genetic makeup, the way your muscles have a division of fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscle fibers... May mean that you will never get "huge".

You can get much stronger and fitter, but you simply may not have the genetic makeup to obtain huge muscles.

Remember, for all those body-builders that end up on the top of competitions, there are dozens for whom it simply doesn't work. They don't get "big".... Only strong.

That's not necessarily true in your case, of course, it's just a possibility. I would recommend you try a reputable, dedicated body-building forum like the ones at Bodybuilding.com.

Not this particularly ill-informed board.

Do your reps slower, take in A LOT OF calories. Protein is nothing, all protein does is repair. Calories is what helps you bulk. So beef, fish, chicken, nuts, beans, eat it all.

Brownies, cookies, cake, fries, burgers, cheeseburgers, pizza, are good too. But they need to be burned off from cardio so it wont go to your belly, but instead, your arms, chest, and etc.

You've got to increase your caloric intake, pure and simple. Eat and bulk up. Then, shed the fat by cutting down.

Yes i agree on your summer slam ha ha ha.................
