Hi,im a 13 year old boy and since i was a kid i keep getting influenced my many sports.

I would go from soccer to badminton to volleyball to martial arts and back to soccer,Every time i get into a phase i would say to myself this is my sport then after a while i get bored and change. The older i get the longer these phases are from a week to a year.Lately im into soccer but after a year i wasnt that interested.I played a left back and i was good but i didnt feel into it.And im quite tall for a 13 yr old asian.Im 170cm.So i decided to find another sport and i was hooked with basketball.i can use my height as an advantage and i really wanna get into it but im scared im gonna change again.I play well not great in any sports i play.My father says im the jack of all trades master of none.He gets mad everytime i get interested in something else.So how do stop changing sport and how can i stay interested

I don't think there's a way to keep you interested. At least, you can't force yourself to like it. Maybe you can stay interested by finding a favorite sports team to watch and getting friends who are hugely into sports. Really, I don't see how it's much of a problem to be going through all these phases - it just means you like sports as a whole rather than a single one.

At your age, unless you expect to become an elite athlete you should do what you enjoy and that means many different things, rather than doing only one or two sports.

Sport is for fun, so have fun, and don't worry about becoming a professional, which less than one percent of elite college athletes do, let alone everyone that plays at your level.

focus on what you do and select one or two sports do not wait for others opinion

Enjoy what you do and stop being such a little kid. Pick something and work to get good at it.
