I am Iranian, in Iran the weightlifters come from very poor cities. These cities do not have any facilities for swimming or Gymnastic or .... but Weightlifting and wrestling do not need anything for practice.
Moreover, they do not have any other options for their entertainment, so they try hard and hard everyday to be a champion. If they become a champion they can earn a lot of money that whole their family could benefit from that.
It is my opinion.

that same thing is here in india, our population is over 125,00,00,000 but still we struggle for Gold medal.
here people don't have money or any facility to train themselves and government doesn't care at all.
India has capability to perform 10 times more than now.
only rich people and big cities are having good opportunities..
