Beating him up wont really get you the $100 back. Try to steal it back instead of beating him up. But if you do pound him, then after you are done, say something along the lines of "I'm gonna beat the **** out of you every day until I get my money back."
Report the theft and let the kid get in trouble. You go beat him up outside of school and it's a matter for the police when the kid's parents call 911. You end up with a record, you end up with a mandatory psychiatric evaluation and possible being forced to go to a school for children who are violent and out of control.
