Have you ever been in a real life fight?

Not drills in the dojo, not gloved sparring, a straight up fight.

Just today. I never thought I would be in one as I an 38 years old but today wow, I am still shaking. I was walking on the beach and some bum came out of nowhere and through a punch at me. I have no idea how but apparently I saw him and moved into the opening of Pinan Shodan (Okinawan version) before I realized it, I had slammed the arm he was hitting me with, slammed it with a bottonfist and stopped myself before I smashed his jaw. Bum said he was sorry. I don't know if he wet himself or if he had done that earlier. Next thing I know a cop had me handcuffed. While his partner asked people what happened. someone said that the bum had tried to hit me and the bum said he was just playing around. I don't know how long I was in there but 2 hours (at least it felt that long) later the 1st cop did a sobriety test told me that he could take me to jail for being "Wet" and just under the limit of being sober then let me go. I am still shaking and the smell of the bum won't wash off. I don't think I will be going to sleep tonight

Yeap. Very easy thing actually. At least when it's one on one.

All I did was grab the dudes neck and squeeze. At the same time, I used my free hand and broke his nose and gave him a swollen eye. I thought I was gonna have to use my knowledge of Taekwondo to defend myself but fortunately, there was no need :)

Gotta make it clear though. It ain't fun. Trust me, I did imagine how it would have felt if I was the one being choked and punched. Also, I was lucky no weapons where involved and his buddies did not interfere. The worst case scenario in that specific time would have been 4 vs 1... I think I could have defended myself. A kick to the balls never fails but who knows :/

I could consider myself lucky I guess :)

Yes many times when I was younger mainly. With time you can use the skills influenced by those and other experiences to end the fights before they start. (Not make them happening in the first place)

Yes. I hated every single one. I am not proud of any of them.

Almost had charges pressed on me in one fight. Luckily they ended up getting dropped. I ended up sending the guy to the hospital. It scared me and my girlfriend.

I try very, very, hard to avoid fights, even If I will win.

Also you won't win them all.

Everyone gets into a fight at least once in their lives.

Yes' the adrenaline rush is outstanding! I highly recommend it at least once in your life.

yes

Unfortunately I have been in too many

Yep... I beat the crap out of the attacker though...

Pheww

Its dangerous.
