Did you like the olympics opening ceremony? We didn't!?

I found it extremely boring, my daughter fall asleep

lol the ceremony is more about the british so in a way, they did themselves no favours because the world is watching and with all the hype of an major event, they didn't come to watch a cultural ceremony that has nothing to do with them.

no i didn't like it because the british media hyped themselves and thought theirs were better than beijing 2008.

the only thing i enjoyed is mr bean throwing the tissue on the piano lol

I am British but in no way consider myself patriotic but I loved it. I would not say it made me proud to be British but very proud of what was achieved in the ceremony.

It showed much of British culture and not only how we have influenced the world but also BEEN influenced by the world. The rock music that we gave birth to was developed from the blues and rightly paying tribute to the NHS.

I think most Americans didn't like it because their health system sucks and they feel ours is as close to a socialist system as you can get.

I have just come back from America, after spending a month travelling around I can honestly say that the Americans are the most close minded people I have ever met. I met sooooooo many Americans who said the same thing too.

They have a social rank structure and if you do not conform you are shunned. It's a really sad way for people to live. Especially as they seem to police the rest of the world telling them how to live.

Never in my life have I felt so unfairly treated as when I started to run out of money out there. If you are not rich YOU ARE NOBODY.

I really like the country for its beauty but my god, the people need to wake up BIG TIME.

Sorry, back to the opening ceremony. Loved it. Was a different approach to the Beijing olympics but equally as good.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion but I felt the music, the effects, the comedy all worked and showed the world that we know how to have fun.

A good question to ask would be, If you did not like it, what were you expecting.

BORING.... It was such a let down.... Was looking so forward to it... Planned our entire evening around the opening ceremonies.... My daughters were off doing their own thing after about 20 min.... Very representative of the English & not in a good way. Did the queen smile one time? I sure didn't see it...

Not a good start... If NBC hadn't been commentating I really wouldn't had understood anything...

I give them 2 stars out of 5

It was so difficult to watch and it had nothing to do with British history. It had too many people moving around with no real direction. The whole children's bed seen was pretty stupid. Also, you couldn't decide on who to light the torch, so you chose seven unknown kids, great idea! I also thought that is was disrespectful to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to incorporate so much English crap. I though they were all considered equal under the Union Jack, but that is obviously not true. All in all, I wasted my entire evening watching that horrible display, time to step down off of your high horse!!

I think I was looking more of action and just the fascination of all the lights like Beijing, but I did find it entertaining and full of history and it was just another unique way to open the Olympics.

I believe the stadium was fantastic and the show was great but is this what Olympics is about?

The Olympic idea has nothing to do with a concert

I liked it but then I do love history and I love seeing how one country would show their history especially when the movies always shows the brits as the bad guys. But they aren't they are great, they gave us our vastly resourcefull country without a fight and after they helped defend it from the USA at one point. That's why we still have the royals on our money.

I turned it off 20 minutes after the beginning (NBC sucked), then I turned it on while watching parade of nation, I am just curios of uniforms athletes are wearing, it is almost over now.

It was a very good opening ceremony that consisted of months of training and practicing

It was unbelievably boring! I liked the part where they pored out the rings with metal, but that's about it! It was insanely unentertaining!

I found it extremely boring, my daughter fall asleep

Omg, it was awful. There were some cool parts, i have to admit, but other then that it was just a trainwreck. It looks like it was meant for teenage girls, what with the peace signs and smiley faces! And omg, it was like twilight with the random couple kissing... like what>?!

Did not watch more than 30 sec. of it... So boring.

IF IT KEEPS GOING ON i AM GONNA RIP OUT MY EYES AND EARS. BORING!!! AND LOW BUDGET

cuz she doesnt enjoy history.
