How to get 2016 Olympic Tickets?

Posted at: 2015-05-07
Q1) If Rio follows a similar system to London 2012, then tickets will be available sometime in early-mid 2015.

Q2) How to buy will be announced later, probably around 2014.

Q3) Tickets vary in price greatly. Certain sports will cost more than others (the popular sports like Athletics and Swimming will cost more than, say, Table Tennis) and it all depends on where you sit. They generally issue tickets like a Theatre, in groups: A Tickets, B Tickets, C Tickets ect.

The construction hasn't even finished yet so there is no way of knowing where it will be. The 2012 Games haven't even ended yet!

My advice: calm down. You're getting way too over excited. The Games don't start for another 4 years so you have plenty of time.

They will probably go on sale soemtime in early 2016. The Rio olympic website will have details, closer to the time, on how to buy them.

You must have mistaken me for a travel agent.

Compu'er says...*coff* NO.

The tickets won't be onsale for another couple of years AND you have to apply for them and then people get picked at random.

You can't just buy them outright to start with.

If there are any left after the lottery sale you can buy them.

hi wat you do is you go to olpics.com i spelled it wrong well any then go to tickets then choose then buy

How can I get tickets to an event during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro?

Specifically the Women's Soccer Gold-Medal Match.

Where do I go to get them?

How much are the tickets going to cost me?

What arena/stadium is it in?

Where are some good hotels to stay in while I'm there?
