I'll put it at this: In colorguard, you throw rifles, sabres, and flags. In cheerleading, you throw yourself and other girls into the air. Both may do conditioning, but if you got a cheerleader and a member of colorguard together to do a push up competition, there is no doubt in my mind that the cheerleader would win.
Also, you don't have to be pretty to cheer. Tennis players wear short skirts too. It isn't slutty. Especially since we wear shorts under them. Just try out. You'll find that the cheer girls really aren't evil at all. You can meet some really sweet girls there.
Cheerleading isn't just standing there and shouting. They also do competitions where they have to do tough routines. Especially with stunting, it's really hard. I'm not saying it's like soccer practice or anything but it's not just standing and clapping either. I don't think color guard is much harder at all. All they do is learn some choreography and prance around. If anything, cheerleading is harder
You know nothing! Stand there and be all preppy. Are you kidding me?
-We tumble
-We run miles every day
-Run bleachers
-Ab train
-Suicides
-V ups
-Conditioning
-Sit-ups
-Push-ups
-Holding, throwing, and catching PEOPLE. Hundreds of pounds
-Intense competition dances
-Elite Stunts. Look up a one-man extension and tell me if your colorguard can do that.
If we drop a flyer, we run 4 miles and condition. The whole team. They have to trust you. Do not say cheering is just standing there and looking preppy.
