Well the facts that she isnt the best and that she wasnt really famous until 2010 2011 are completely wrong because she is one if te best and 1 direction is newly famous too sooo... My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that shes preggers or at least she was the last time I heard.
Adele wasn't there, I think she needs rest since she is pregnant. There are some rumors she's spending time with her best friends but we are not sure with that. And yes Ed Sheeran was there :)
this is my guess, could be totally wrong but...she wasn't there because here career really did not take off until 2010-2011. These ceremonies are planned years in advance (like as soon as they find out that it will be in their home country which is like 7 years or so before it happens) and it would have taken too much work to include her in them, even though she is one of England's top musicians
