can people that are not flexible do cheerleading?

Hi its great you want to join, and it depends on what level your team is, whether it is competitive, and what position you want to be. For example I'm a flyer (girl that is being held up) and they tend to be flexible and well balanced. Bases (people holding the flyer) have to be strong and steady and have quite quick reflexes, and back spot and front spots have to have quick reflexes and also be quite strong. Then there are other positions like spotters (hold their hands around the flyer but not holding her) tumblers (best at tumbling passes) etc.

Also generally they will help you will flexibility for jumps but I would also see what level cheer they do and whether it is competitive or not.

But in the end if its what you have a passion for then do it!

Yeah. I did and i wasnt flexible. My high school team was new when i joined which was 1-2 years ago. If the team you want to join isnt new then you might have to just at least be able to do the jumps. I was flyer and most flyers are usually flexible.

Yeah. I wasn't flexible at all when I started but I improved as time went on.

YES. We call them couch potato's.

Most fondly recall a bleacher butt

No, they usually keep those in the locker room to give the players pregame bl0wwjobbs

Yes they can do but basic staffs and more amateur style i think :))

yes.
