Love the idea its our warm climate and wide open spaces lol and that we are a sports mad nation, but add to that that a lot of money was invested into training around the time we hosted the 2000 games... As is often the case when nations host the Brits being the current example. Now several games down the track we are back to a more regular sort of achievement

Australia is average at best. I guess Qatar is the best country since they have 1 bronze, just take that times 200 million and they are unbelievably talented!

Just wondering because they are supposedly doing horrible this year, but all the countries doing better than them have millions and millions of people living in them. Australia only has 22 million. How can so many athletes come from such a small country? Also, they have a lot of actors and actresses too that come to hollywood. What is it about Australia?
