After ufc 168 he would probably rest first after that gruesome injury.. what do you guys think..retirement or still fight..?

Well the first thing he has to do is get to the hospital. He will need surgery. He has a broken tib/fib. They will have to put some metal and screws in that to try to get it to heal. I had the same surgery a few years ago. I had another surgery after that. I still today am in pain just to walk or drive a car. So we don;t know if he will or won;t recover enough to ever compete again.

Even if he does I think he should retire. Then his focus should be on teaching at his school.

At 37 he might not be able to heal sufficiently enough to ever fight again at the level he is fighting at now I am afraid. Fighting and the training for it takes its toll on a fighter's body and as they get older it also becomes more difficult for things to heal as quickly and as well as when they are younger. He is not a young man in chronologically. One thing in his favor is that he has not had to take a lot of punishment in the majority of his fights and only time will tell if he can come back from this injury and fight again at the championship level.

That also is the other question as well really. He is probably looking at 18 months before he can start training and he will of course be that much older. By the time he heals, resumes working out and fighting it could easily be three and more likely four years before he gets back into any kind of contention with a real shot at the title. That would put him at 40-41 years of age and that is starting to get up there.

He's done, it's over, retirement even from wat he was saying after the first fight u could tell it was coming to an end like he didn't want it any more but I guess he signed the contract so he had to fight him again in which I think he didn't want to fight and he so happen to break his leg real sad.

I'm betting retirement,we already seeing the decline of Silva.

Mmmmmm

Retirement, I mean look at this. He won't be good anymore if he manages to come back

He's done, by the time he recovers fully he would be 40.

A cane ,stuck up his ****.
