Well, first off don't judge them because of the stereotypical cheerleader. A lot of nice people are cheerleaders.
And a lot of people say that cheerleaders don't have any real talent... we don't really, except for stunts and the people who can tumble. Although cheerleading is about cheering on your team, not about talent. Being a cheerleader is soooo fun.... oh my gosh..... I love it. I just want to have a good time and be the best cheerleader that I can be.
since this is kind of a broad question, I'll just talk about a few things. I think that they think that the things they do make them athletes, high school cheer leading is not a sport, they are cheering for the people that play sports. second, they are vastly overrated in movies and in real life too! The basic skills they do are not impressing anyone, world cheering is impressive. HS... not at all. I just wish some of them would get off of their high horses.
Tv puts a HUGE bad image on us we constantly fight every day. My team is lectured after every practice that we represent our school. We can't hug, hold hands, or kiss any boy while in uniform. We have to behave even when we aren't in uniform. Our coaches hold high standards for us as a team and if we don't meet it we get punished. We all work hard and there have been so many injuries just in te first few weeks.
Not as good as allstar.
