Can't tell from the blurry picture. The ivory hilt looks carved quite intricately and the curve in the blade suggests its from an Asian country. My guess is it is from India. The Indians are known for making ostentatious swords such as that.

Im guessing its a chinese sword based on the handle of the sword. And we all agree that you have to upload an even more high pixelize picture. The picture you have uploaded is blurred.

Yep, you need a better pic. Google Image search yeilds nothing. I can say that it has a highly-carved ivory grip....Likely a presentation or collector's item.

The guard is broken.... Looks rather like a Chines "Jian" guard but the blade appears slightly curved and jian are straight.
