I have played on baseball, and a little football for Montevallo University.
And to answer your question It depends on how you feel on sports.
I found it fun because I have a huge competitive ego, but you might not be the same as me.
So my advice play for a year and then decide.
If you are on a scholarship it is a job, it may be fun, but it is not like running in high school or summer track.
There are rewards but your objective is to do well so you keep your ride.
Sports can be fun, but that is secondary to scholar athletes in college.
It should be when your playing a sport you love.
