Fox 1 is taking over Speed Channel which is 150 on Dish
I guess the rub for me is that you purchase the Sports package and Dish leaves off the Fox Sports channel 150 and maybe others. Advertised as the complete College Spiorts Package for Football season but it is incomplete without Fox Sports, isn't it? I bought it to watch the Baylor game against SMU earlier today but was not happy to find I had to upgrade both to the 200 channel version of Dish after adding the Sports Package and determining that it did not include Fox Sports 1. This is not what I have come to expect from Dish.....
I called and they wanted me to upgrade my entire package to get Fox sports 1 which was substantualy more per month, they wont let you purchase the channel individually. I dont want the other channels and will never watch them so it is a huge waste of money. I think Comcast and direct tv offer fox sports 1 in their basic packages so I will be switching to one of them. The way dish sets up their packages is idiotic and makes no sense.

It is ridiculous you need to upgrade everything for that one channel. I am sure getting tired of Dish doing this. I will be looking to switch providers as soon as my contract is up. I had to upgrade package just to get the multi sport package! why can't i get multi sport with what i already have!
Apparently it isn't free.. I too bought the sports channel just to watch baseball play offs since I am anxious for St. Louis Cards to beat San Fran. I am very disappointed and will be looking else where for my TV source

I have the lower plan, yet pay extra for a "Sports Tier", and Fox Sports 1 is not included. Pretty asinine.
