Never too old! Skating can be such a fun and easygoing sport. It may not seem like it, but it truly is. I'm 14 and I've been skating my whole entire life, it's amazing. If you are really that nervous, then you can always get a friend to do it with a good friend. You may be the oldest one, but thats okay. No shame in the game
No, I started when I was 11 and was really embarrassed, I was literally surrounded by little kids! But I'm glad I didn't let that or people's looks and stares make me quit, because honestly skating is what I look forward every week, I have no idea what my life would be without it! Also there are lots of skaters just starting in there teens. (At least in my rink.) My grandmas thoughts on it is that it's better when you start older because when you're a little kid you tend to quit things and just chase each other around playing tag and throwing ice at each other.
My sister is 14 in like 4 month and she has the same situation its no problem there were ppl there at like 30 or something. if you go on the ice in like 2 weeks you would be quite good
