USA
Gold: 26
Silver: 13
Bronze: 15
Great Britain
Gold: 14
Silver: 7
Bronze: 8
lmao at a canadian taking a digg at the brits. one of the most pathetic countries in olympic history... as for usa having more gold medals....exact same reason china has more golds... their countries are continent sized!. population counts for a lot in a developed country. For a country the size of GB... 14 golds half way through is good going.
I don't think the brits make excuses. we have just as many competitors but most of them weren't expected to medal, just to make up numbers and we are doing alot more team sports. America has alot bigger population to pick out of for elite athletes and if not for swimming it would be quite even. I like USA doing well, they're our buddies. I'm literally shouting at the TV for USA almost as much as GB because I don't want China to be top of the table. Go GB and if that fails, Go team USA. Alot of negativity on Yahoo answers between us and Brits atm, a shame.
I meant USA no us, makes it dound like im american, lol
Is America winning 16 golds at swimming suppose to be bad? How many badminton events have China not won gold in so far?
US has 26, Britain has 14
USA: 26
UK: 14
Keep your eye on the BBC medals page for updates.
As you can see, Brits will come up with all kinds of excuses why the USA has more gold medals, really just sad to see.
it's on the official yahoo site.
Britain had the most people in the Olympics, but only has 14 gold. Pretty sad.
USA 26, BritAin 14.
Shows just how great Britain is, since America's population is 5 times greater, yet we can still destroy them at sport.
