Can Jon Bones Jones ever be defeated?

He has already lost several fights when he was an amateur and he was disqualified once as a pro which counts as a loss. Jon Jones showed the greatest weakness when he refused to fight Chael Sonnen who was willing to take the place of an injured Dan Henderson. Even though Jones would eventually beat Sonnen in UFC 159, Jones' refusal to fight on short notice showed everyone that he questions his ability even against fighters with records worse than his.

Part of the reason Jones has so many victories is because the UFC is bound by ridiculous weight classes that do not allow light heavyweights to fight against heavyweights even though the lightest heavyweight fighter at 205 can fight an opponent who weighs 265. Middleweight Anderson Silva could also beat Jon Jones, but again the obnoxious weight class limitations prohibit this fight from happening.

The UFC was so much better before weight classes were introduced and became mandatory. The whole purpose of the original UFC was to prove that a smaller fighter could beat a larger fighter, but politicians with weak stomachs forced MMA organizations to become quasi-boxing abominations.

john has it right. the great fighters always try to stay there a long time and the best example in the ufc would be anderson silva, i think he should've retired or stayed in the middleweight. no matter what, jon jones will be defeated maybe not in the next 6-7 years but he will be defeated.

One thing that all the greats have in common is that they ALWAYS try to stay in the game too long. Muhammed Ali, Tyson, Fedor and most likely Jon Jones will join those guys. No one ever learns to quit while they are ahead.

Yes, if he moves up to heavyweight. I believe that Junior Dos Santos and Cain have great chance against Jon.

Of course, EVERYONE can be defeated, it's just when you work as hard as he does and train as hard as he does it's difficult to find someone to beat him. Aside from the split seconds he's looked in trouble, no one has every been able to challenge him

EDIT: at the retard below, Jon Jones has never had any amateur fights..

Of course, maybe not now, but even the greatest slip up eventually. Machida, Belfort & Evans showed he has weaknesses...it is just a matter of time till someone good enough can take full advantage of them.
